A process-based and distributed model for nutrient dynamics in river basin: Development, testing and applications

► We have developed a nutrient model using a distributed modelling approach. ► This has incorporated process based description of sediment and nutrient dynamics on the land surface and in-stream nutrient dynamics. ► The model has been applied in Japanese and Australian catchments for calibration and verification. ► Satisfactory results with hourly interval output. ► Useful for land use management and maintaining in-stream water quality.
