Abstract
⺠We evaluated the impact of acid deposition on microbial diversity in high elevation forests in US. ⺠Strong acidophilic bacterial species were identified common to acid mine drainage and low pH sites. ⺠Actinobacteria, Acidobacteria, Proteobacteria, and Chloroflexi were dominant in the soils.
