Abstract
► Microbial community function was impacted only at high doses of herbicide. ► Glyphosate was not preferentially used as C substrate in glyphosate-exposed soils. ► Molecular analyses did not reveal selective enrichment of bacteria due to glyphosate treatments. ► The results suggest that no adaptation is induced, probably reflecting co-metabolic degradation of glyphosate.
