Abstract
► We examined the effect of precipitation rates on fungal/plant relations. ► We altered moisture inputs in a short/mixed-grass prairie ecosystem. ► We quantified mycorrhization rates of two common C4 grasses. ► Mycorrhization did not differ between treatments over two growing seasons. ► Precipitation and nutrient availability do not alone act upon mycorrhization rates.
