Abstract
⺠We studied arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) in former and remnant tallgrass prairie. ⺠Study sites differed in agricultural history. ⺠Altered species composition likely most significant long term effect of disturbance. ⺠Biomass and community composition indicated recovery of AMF. ⺠AMF recovery may occur over shorter period than full ecosystem recovery.
