Abstract
⺠Arabidopsis thaliana residue chemistry and soil texture may affect soil processes. ⺠C:N ratio and acid unhydrolyzable fraction (AUF) affected by single gene knockouts. ⺠C:N ratio and AUF affected CO2 production, mineral N and microbial communities. ⺠AUF-rich root residue increased fungi, but not bacteria or actinobacteria. ⺠Soil texture had a minor effect on soil processes and microbial communities.
