Abstract
⺠The scale and severity of illegal hunting for bushmeat are under-appreciated in African savannas. ⺠However, indications are that the impacts of bushmeat hunting are severe. ⺠There are consistent spatial and temporal trends in occurrence of bushmeat hunting. ⺠Several drivers are consistently responsible for the problem. ⺠Suites of interventions are necessary, the exact combination varying among sites.
