Abstract
⺠We review the methods underpinning knowledge of dingoes' ecological roles. ⺠Less than 10% of studies are capable of providing conclusive data on dingoes' roles. ⺠We briefly summarise knowledge of dingoes' negative impacts on fauna. ⺠Our results undermine common assertions about the ecological roles of large canids. ⺠Positive dingo management is not supported by conclusive data.
