Abstract
⺠Combines economic, hydrological, and ecological data into an integrated model. ⺠Explores impacts of 'development' on Indigenous and non-Indigenous people. ⺠Finds Indigenous people have much to lose and little to gain from 'development'. ⺠Shows that detrimental effects occur because of degradation of aquatic ecosystems. ⺠Suggests that conservation land uses may be effective in promoting well-being.
