Abstract
⺠Recent prescribed burning may be inadequate to conserve the longleaf pine ecosystem. ⺠We modeled how site and landscape attributes influenced where burns were conducted. ⺠Burns were preferentially placed on sites already in good condition. ⺠Degraded sites located near development were not likely to be burned. ⺠Facilitating burning near development would help conservation of the ecosystem.
