Abstract
⺠Introduced brushtail possums are pests and a harvested resource in NZ forests. ⺠We model economic and population outcomes of fur harvest strategies. ⺠The optimum economic harvest strategy is unlikely to achieve conservation gains. ⺠Biodiversity outcomes are possible with small subsidies from management agencies.
