Abstract
► Spatially-explicit stand management plans can enhance opportunities for biodiversity conservation in fragmented forest landscapes. ► We quantify time to population recovery of selected beetle species after disturbance by clearfelling. ► Beetle populations recovered to pre-disturbance levels after 8 years. ► Canopy closure can be used as a proxy for beetle recovery.
