Abstract
► We studied the ranging behaviour and breeding success of little bustard broods. ► Broods with sedentary pattern moved shortly in small areas with herbaceous vegetation. ► Broods with wandering pattern moved mainly through field margins covering large areas. ► Females with sedentary pattern laid earlier and showed higher breeding success. ► Vegetated plots and margins may mitigate harvesting impacts on precocial birds.
