Abstract

Fly ash (FA), a residue of coal combustion, has been accepted as a hazardous solid waste all over the world. Even though several approaches for its utilization in agriculture and material industry have been proposed, the amount of the stocked FA is increasing because production exceeds the amount that can be utilized. We propose the use of aromatic grasses for better in situ remediation of FA landfill hazards and to get several tangible and intangible benefits.
