Abstract

- Removal of Pb(II) and Cu(II) ions from aqueous solution was studied by pretreated Sporpollenin biopolymer.
- The pretreated biosorbent was characterized by FTIR and SEM-EDX analysis.
- Response surface methodology was employed to optimize various influencing parameters using Box-Behnken design.
- Langmuir and Sips isotherm models were well fitted to the equilibrium data.
