Abstract
⺠New application for MICP as a consolidation technique for unsaturated ground. ⺠Alternating layers of cementation/bacteria solution enhance bacterial fixation. ⺠Percolation treatment enables srength improvement without crust formation. ⺠Lower soil water content enables selective growth of calcite at contact points. ⺠Costs can be reduced by using percolation compared to submersed application.
