Abstract
⺠The impact of a ligninolytic fungus on litter was studied with field surveys and laboratory tests. ⺠Clitocybe sp. caused selective delignification and enhanced nitrogen mineralization. ⺠FT-IR analysis showed the selective transformation of the chemical structure of lignin in litter.
