Abstract
⺠Seagrass increases abundance and diversity of fish and invertebrate communities. ⺠Fish and native mobile crustaceans were most abundant in and adjacent to seagrass beds. ⺠Seagrass proximity influences mudflat community structure through predator access. ⺠Degrading biogenic habitats alters community structure and impairs ecosystem function.
