Abstract
⺠We studied the coupling between microphytobenthos and fiddler crabs feeding. ⺠Both microphytobenthos and crab feeding had biweekly uncoupled cycles. ⺠Environmental variables and mechanical constraints may drive the uncoupling. ⺠Feeding impact on microphytobenthos was low and variable with tides. ⺠Fiddler crabs may not exert important control on primary production.
