Abstract
⺠First genetic characterization of a hawksbill rookery in the eastern Atlantic. ⺠The PrÃncipe rookery was found to be fixed for a single haplotype (EATL). ⺠The EATL haplopyte had no known rookery source prior to this study. ⺠This unique haplotype was phylogenetically linked with Indo-Pacific clades. ⺠Results revealed the high degree of isolation and fragility of this rookery.
