Abstract
⺠Eight years after fucoid canopy removal, communities have not fully recovered. ⺠Removal plots had more turf and lower algal densities, biomass, and diversity. ⺠Press disturbance plots were more affected than pulse disturbance plots. ⺠Overall, non-trophic interactions dominated the recovery process.
