► Multiple paternity is a common feature in C. coquimbensis. ► Females may store sperm for at least six months. ► Males contribute at similar proportion to the brood. ► Reproductive strategy of C. coquimbensis contrasts with other Crepidula species. ► Reproductive strategy may be associated to the aggregation behavior of this species.
