Abstract
⺠We built a spatially explicit and individual-based SEIR model of Mopeia virus. ⺠Sharp density thresholds are observed for persistence, not invasion. ⺠Host dispersal is important for the spread and persistence of the infection. ⺠In the year following invasion, herd immunity can hinder persistence. ⺠The model is most sensitive to transmission rate and infectious period.
