Abstract
⺠We developed a model of the evolution of aggregation behavior using a site-based model. ⺠The model incorporates scramble competition, local Allee effects, and grouping formation. ⺠The model shows that aggregation behavior can stabilize population dynamics. ⺠The Allee effect alone is not sufficient for aggregation to be evolutionarily stable in our model.
