Abstract
⺠We model ParA/ParB-mediated chromosome segregation in Caulobacter crescentus. ⺠ParB binding and diffusion with ParA depolymerization yield directed ParB movement. ⺠The protein TipN controls ParB movement by altering ParA cytoplasmic concentrations. ⺠Control of ParA polymerization is essential for proper chromosome segregation.
