⺠A possible mechanism which enables HIV to break from immune control. ⺠Model describing evolving HIV and specific CTL response and helper T cells. ⺠Two thresholds: the immune activation threshold, the immunodeficiency threshold. ⺠Interval between thresholds corresponds to the asymptomatic stage of HIV infection.
