Abstract
⺠Computer chess tournaments inspired tournaments for the iterated Prisoner's Dilemma. ⺠Tit for Tat supplemented with a little generosity or contrition is effective even in a noisy environment. ⺠Game theory allowed an evolutionary biologist, William Hamilton, to collaborate with the author, a political scientist.
