Abstract
⺠We model the spatial spread of lifespan-shortening Wolbachia. ⺠Lifespan-shortening Wolbachia is a potential control strategy for dengue fever. ⺠Lifespan-shortening and fecundity-reducing Wolbachia have different effects on spatial spread. ⺠Empirically estimated parameters suggest that lifespan-shortening Wolbachia will not spread in the wild.
