Abstract
⺠Clinical studies support the role of neoadjuvant cisplatin in head and neck cancer. ⺠Chemo-toxicity remains a limiting factor in cisplatin-based treatments. ⺠A model is presented on a novel cisplatin regimen as induction therapy. ⺠It is suggested that third-daily cisplatin improves normal tissue tolerance. ⺠Optimal tumour control implies no gap between induction and curative treatment.
