Abstract
► We propose a mathematical framework of GAL regulon induction. ► The GAL switch is not understood in all detail. ► We use quantitative tools to distinguish between competing theories. ► To our knowledge, our dynamic model is the first to reproduce the circuit bistability. ► Our study brings support to an induction initiated via a tripartite complex.
