Abstract
⺠Supplemental diet mixture (SDM) contained sucrose, yeast and toasted soy flour. ⺠Spiders fed only sucrose or SDM persisted as first instar nymphs for weeks. ⺠When provided with SDM, spiders could mature when fed only 60-100 moth eggs. ⺠Binary mixes of soy flour + sucrose and baker's yeast + sucrose were effective diets. ⺠SDM may be used to mass rear cursorial spiders or conserve them in crops.
