Abstract
► We studied earwigs' relative role as pest versus predator in citrus canopies. ► We confirmed previous studies of earwigs as important biocontrol agents. ► Earwigs decreased flower survival, but after abscission this effect was not observed. ► Consequently, fruit production was not affected by earwigs. ► Thus, earwigs are beneficial insects in this Mediterranean organic citrus orchard.
