Abstract
⺠We studied earwigs' relative role as pest versus predator in citrus canopies. ⺠We confirmed previous studies of earwigs as important biocontrol agents. ⺠Earwigs decreased flower survival, but after abscission this effect was not observed. ⺠Consequently, fruit production was not affected by earwigs. ⺠Thus, earwigs are beneficial insects in this Mediterranean organic citrus orchard.
