Abstract
⺠BLUP analyses were conducted on historical data of two released weed pathogens. ⺠BLUPs substantiated currently available information on host range of these pathogens. ⺠BLUPs were accurate predictors of host range. ⺠No unforeseen non-target effects could be expected in nature on the basis of BLUPs. ⺠Results confirmed the validity of this approach in host-range determination.
