Abstract
⺠Streptomyces globisporus JK-1 inhibits mycelial growth, conidial germination and appressorial formation of Magnaporthe oryzae. ⺠JK-1 cells co-inoculated with the pathogen can reduce disease development on rice leaves. ⺠JK-1 culture filtrates strongly reduce rice blast disease on detached rice leaves and seedlings even when applied 3 h after pathogen inoculation.
