Abstract
⺠Mixes of furfurals were detected in the steam-exploded biomass of Mischantus (SEB). ⺠Three soil-borne plant pathogens were highly inhibited in vitro by the furfurals. ⺠Three pathosystems were significantly suppressed in vivo by the SEB respect to compost. ⺠The SEB could be used in place of compost against some soil-borne fungal diseases. ⺠These studies are fundamental for their applications in the sustainable agriculture.
