Abstract
⺠This work suggests that the mycorrhiza helps bajra plants for better performance under moderate salinity conditions. ⺠Under saline condition, mycorrhizal fungi increase plant growth by enhancing photosynthetic activity, P uptake by enhancing phosphatase activity, osmotic adjustment and antioxidant enzymes, this cumulative effect increase tolerance of bajra plants under saline condition. ⺠Introduction of AM species Glomus fasciculatum give economical benefits to field crops. ⺠Also this study used for rehabilitation of saline soil by using AM fungal species Glomus fasciculatum.
