Does Integrated Weed Management affect the risk of crop diseases? A simulation case study with blackgrass weed and take-all disease

► Effects of Integrated Weed Management (IWM) on bioagressors other than weeds must be analysed. ► A new interaction model was developed to link a weed dynamics model to a disease model. ► 28 contrasted cropping systems were assessed with simulations. ► High weed densities amplify disease risk and contribute to maintain the disease in the field. ► However, the best IWM systems limit weeds enough to avoid strong weed-induced disease increase.
