Abstract
⺠Description of a methodology to create a yield gap map for maize at the field level. ⺠We used the HybridMaize model to estimate the potential yield for a region in northwestern Bangladesh. ⺠We estimated actual yield with data from farmers' fields and ground cover derived from remote sensing. MSE was 1.15 Mg/ha. ⺠The difference between potential and actual yield resulted in a yield gap map covering more than 600 km2. ⺠The yield gap map can be used to learn from the best farmers and to identify production constraints of low yielding fields.
