Abstract
ⶠIn this study, three types of fatty nitrogen compounds which were synthesized from vegetable oils, have been used as one of organic compounds to modify natural clay, sodium montmorillonite. These clay modifiers have been utilized for preparation of new biodegradable nanocomposites based on soybean oil plasticized poly(lactic acid). In addition to their applications in textile industries, automotive and clinical uses, these nanocomposites represent a good candidate to produce disposable packaging because they have good mechanical, thermal properties and processability.
