Abstract
ⶠA biodegradable 2T-oil is developed from castor oil, which consists “tolyl ethyl hexyl ester of acetylated castor oil fatty acid” and a performance additive but no diluents. ⶠIt reduces smoke by 50 to 70% at 1-% oil fuel ratio. It is at par with BIS standard product specification. ⶠThe starting problem, piston seizer or any other driving problems were not observed during the test. ⶠThere is excellent potential in castor oil based biodegradable 2T-lubricant as smoke pollution reducer.
