Thermogravimetric analysis and the optimisation of bio-oil yield from fixed-bed pyrolysis of rice husk using response surface methodology (RSM)

▶ Thermogravimetric analysis shows degradation of biomass components, with cellulose decomposed faster than lignin. ▶ The statistical analysis shows that pyrolysis temperature, heating rate, particle size and holding time significantly affected the bio-oil yield. ▶ Employing RSM method resulted to high bio-oil of 48.3% yield.
