Abstract
⺠Rice husks of the RD 6 variety were refluxed with water for at 30, 60 and 120 min ⺠The longest extraction had the highest yield, antioxidant activity and active content. ⺠Fatty acids of cosmetic importance were quantified. ⺠Phenolic content was related to antioxidant activity and fatty acid content. ⺠The extract was non-cytotoxic, compatible and stable in cosmetic formulations.
