Abstract
⺠Wheat kernel development phases are cell division, cell enlargement and dehydration. ⺠Glutenin polymerization, a post-translational process occurs during dehydration phase. ⺠Glu-D1d allele starts to polymerize earlier than Glu-D1a allele. ⺠Glu-D1d allele is more tolerant to heat stress than Glu-D1a allele. ⺠Sulphur deficiency shifts molecular weight (MW) distribution to higher MW.
