Abstract
► Low starch content of barley is a disadvantage in fuel ethanol production. ► Studied wet fractionation, after hull separation, to increase starch content. ► Wet method was similar to endosperm fiber separation step of corn wet milling. ► Product contained 10.1% higher starch than original flour. ► Cell wall coproduct with high fiber, beta-glucan and protein, has value as food.
