Abstract
⺠PCR amplified HvCSLF6 gene from two parents identified 18 HvCslF6 allelic variations. ⺠Five HvCslF6 genetic markers were confirmed to be associated with beta-glucan. ⺠Most significant allelic variation is predicted to affect HvCSLF6 phosphorylation. ⺠Phosphorylation status can affect CES activity. ⺠Utility of genetic markers in predicting grain beta-glucan concentration.
