Abstract
⺠A recirculating system was designed and evaluated for rearing half-smooth tongue sole (Cynoglossus semilaevis) in Lai Zhou, China. ⺠Over 8 months, the system maintained water quality appropriate for the fish and the fish survived well and grew quickly. ⺠The system saved groundwater compared to the conventional aquaculture systems and improved the economics of production.
