Abstract
⺠In this research we assess the hydrodynamic and water quality implications of structures supporting aquaculture activities. ⺠Scale modelling studies are used to quantify the impact of these structures. ⺠A numerical model is extended and refined to model the effects of aquaculture based on the laboratory data. ⺠The implications for particle residence time and water quality are assessed.
