Abstract
⺠A new process was introduced and applied for physico-chemical NH4+ oxidation. ⺠Process is insensitive to temperature and can be switched on and off at will. ⺠Tilapia grew from 35.8 g to 107.1 g at a rate matching their potential growth rate. ⺠The system converts ammonia directly to the benign N2(g) in one oxidation step. ⺠The process was shown feasible from both the operational and economic standpoints.
