Abstract
⺠The evolution of nitrogen compounds in a commercial marine RAS has been experimentally assessed. ⺠Oxidation rate of ammonia within the trickle biofilter has been determined. ⺠½-order/0-order kinetic expression and parameters describe satisfactorily nitrification kinetics. ⺠Nitrite did not undergo significant changes between the inlet and outlet of the biofilter.
