Abstract
ⶠWe analyse pellet breakage of three commercial salmon feeds during pneumatic conveying. ⶠPellet breakage depends on feed type. ⶠPellet breakage is highest at high air speed and low feeding rate in the conveying system. ⶠCommonly used measurements for physical feed quality do not predict pellet breakage during conveying.
